School Psychologist - Maple Park, IL
Make an impact in the lives of high school students by providing expert support and guidance as a school psychologist. This contract position offers the chance to work onsite in a collaborative educational environment from August 10, 2026, to May 14, 2027. You’ll have the opportunity to partner closely with staff, parents, and students, making a difference for a caseload of approximately 30 students each week.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Holds a valid Illinois school psychologist license (IL PSYCH)
- Experienced working with high school populations
- Skilled in conducting assessments, creating intervention plans, and providing individual or group counseling
- Strong communicator, able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Organized and adaptable with excellent problem-solving abilities
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assess and identify student needs through evaluations, data review, and collaboration with teachers and families
- Develop and implement effective intervention strategies tailored for individual students
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing assessments and recommendations
- Support school staff in managing student behavior and enhancing learning environments
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with policies and best practices
