Make a genuine impact supporting the youngest learners as an on-site School Psychologist for a Pre-K program. This contract opportunity spans from August 14, 2026, to June 4, 2027, with a primary focus on providing crucial behavioral interventions and transition support to preschoolers, especially those within a Special Needs and Abilities Preschool (SNAP) setting. The role averages 35 hours per week, with occasional additional hours as needed to best serve the evolving needs of students and families.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist credentials/certification, appropriate for Pre-K settings
  • Experience or strong interest in working with preschool-aged children and diverse populations
  • Knowledge of early childhood development, behavioral interventions, and school-readiness strategies
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary collaboration (working with OT, PT, SLP, Autism Consultants, nurses, etc.)
  • Strong communication and consultation skills for engaging teachers, families, and support staff
  • Capable of managing a caseload of approximately 70 students
  • Commitment to on-site (no virtual/VOCO services) support

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver First Step Transition behavioral intervention and school readiness services for Pre-K students
  • Implement evidence-based behavioral coaching, progress monitoring, and consultation with teachers and caregivers
  • Provide early intervention to help children and families prepare for and transition into the school environment
  • Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations, collaborating with a skilled team to assess and support each child’s needs
  • Assist with two-day evaluation cycles for incoming children and parents
