Embark on an impactful contract opportunity supporting young learners as an on-site school psychologist within a dynamic and collaborative Pre-K environment. This assignment will run from August 14, 2026, through June 4, 2027, averaging 35 hours per week, with occasional additional hours as needs arise.

In this essential role, you'll work primarily with Pre-K students, providing First Step Transition behavioral intervention services designed to boost school readiness, foster social-emotional growth, and encourage positive classroom behaviors. You'll take a hands-on approach implementing the First Step Transition program, including direct behavioral coaching, teacher consultation, progress monitoring, and close collaboration with families.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver early intervention and transition support for Pre-K students, facilitating smooth entry into the school setting.
  • Support school readiness and social-emotional development through evidence-based behavioral interventions.
  • Consult with teachers and actively engage caregivers to support each child's success.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 70 Pre-K students.
  • Participate in two-day multidisciplinary evaluation sessions alongside professionals such as occupational and physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, autism consultants, and nursing staff.
  • Contribute to comprehensive Preschool Evaluations.
  • Operate on-site within a specialized Pre-K setting that serves students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • No teletherapy (VOCO); this is strictly an in-person role.

Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification and state licensure.
  • Experience working with early childhood populations, particularly within school settings.
  • Familiarity with behavioral coaching, progress monitoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving student and schedule needs.
