What You’ll Bring:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or National Certified School Psychologist credential
- Knowledge of federal/state special education rules (IDEA, 504, “child find”)
- Skilled in assessment measures, behavior plans, and effective student support strategies
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Guide student teams through Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
- Consult and clarify educational strategies for families
- Present assessment data and collaborate with IEP teams for student success
- Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings as LEA representative
- Provide direct counseling (individual/group) for academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers and school support teams on MTSS initiatives
- Connect families with school/community agencies for enhanced student support
