Step into a pivotal role supporting student success and well-being as a School Psychologist in the Oak Lawn area. Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Certification and licensure as a School Psychologist in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Expertise in conducting educational and psychological evaluations, re-evaluations, and functional behavior assessments
- Proficiency in participating in and facilitating IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience in school settings, demonstrating an ability to connect with diverse student populations
- Commitment to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments for initial evaluations and re-evaluations in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Engage actively in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and reporting assessment findings
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create strategies that address students’ learning and behavioral needs
- Provide consultative and direct support services to students as appropriate
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of all student evaluations, meetings, and intervention plans
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive educational environment for all students
