School Psychologist - Chesapeake, Virginia
Bring your expertise as a School Psychologist to a welcoming educational environment in the Virginia Beach area! This full-time, on-site contract opportunity (Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week) begins August 31, 2026, and runs through June 15, 2027. Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Department of Education licensure as a School Psychologist
- Active Psychologist license in the State of Virginia
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Adept at assessment, intervention, and consultation services within educational settings
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and provide clear, actionable reports
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design interventions and monitor student progress
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
- Offer crisis intervention and consultation for academic, behavioral, and mental health concerns
- Deliver individual and group counseling services as needed
- Assist with data collection and analysis to inform special education eligibility decisions
