Key Qualifications:
- Current VA DOE licensure and active psychologist license are both required
- Direct experience as a school psychologist in an educational setting
- Demonstrated skills in assessment, counseling, and consultation with students, teachers, and families
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Commitment to on-site, in-person work; remote or hybrid models are not available for this position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and provide recommendations to support students’ educational progress
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Offer counseling and crisis intervention as needed for students across a range of age groups (specific caseload details TBD)
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and data-driven decision making
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
What to Expect: Onsite assignments will be finalized, and flexibility may be available based on the district’s needs. Interview times are open on multiple dates, including Thursday, June 25 (9:00 AM–12:00 PM), Wednesday, July 1 (1:00 PM), and Monday, July 13 (10:00 AM–12:00 PM).
