Key Qualifications:
- Current Virginia Department of Education (DOE) credential for School Psychology
- Active psychologist license (Virginia)
- Experience in school-based psychology services is a strong asset
- Comfort adapting to a variety of campus settings
- Ability to serve elementary through high school students, as determined by district needs
- Strong communication, consultative, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct student psychological assessments and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
- Develop and help implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative mental health support to students, families, and staff
- Contribute expertise in crisis intervention and positive behavioral supports
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in compliance with district standards
- Participate in eligibility, intervention, and progress review meetings
What to Expect:
- 35-hour work week, Monday through Friday
- Full onsite presence required – virtual/VOCO or hybrid work is not permitted
- Work schedule follows the academic calendar, with assignments from late August through mid-June
