The assignment begins on August 31, 2026 and concludes on June 15, 2027. This is a 35-hour-per-week role, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to accommodate the needs of the assigned caseload and school(s). Specific school assignments, age groups, and caseload details will be determined, offering a unique opportunity to tailor your impact within the district. As many current providers are virtual, your on-site presence will be highly valued, ensuring direct collaboration with educators and students.
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Department of Education (VA DOE) licensure
- Current, valid School Psychologist license for the state of Virginia
- Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Commitment to in-person services; this position is not hybrid or virtual
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and psychoeducational assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop student support plans
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students
- Support the implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as the primary psychological services provider
