Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and active Virginia Department of Education School Psychologist Licensure
- Valid Psychologist license for the state of Virginia
- Demonstrated experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students and faculty
- Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered support
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning, behavioral, and socio-emotional needs
- Develop and implement intervention plans in partnership with educators and families
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and provide insights for Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Offer counseling, crisis intervention, and support services across various age groups (exact caseload to be determined)
- Maintain detailed records, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements
- Serve as a resource for school staff, delivering training and consultation as needed
