This engaging position offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8am to 3pm. Collaborate closely with a dedicated educational team to ensure students receive the psychological and academic support they need to succeed.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement required
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Experience conducting evaluations, re-evaluations, and participating in IEP meetings preferred
- Strong understanding of state and federal special education regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to organize and manage a caseload across multiple settings or grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations for students as part of the special education process
- Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings by sharing assessment results and collaborating on educational plans
- Provide direct and indirect support to students, including counseling and consultation, as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to identify strategies that promote student success
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
