School Psychologist - Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

This contract role focuses on delivering trauma-informed mental health services, fostering resilience, and supporting student success near scenic Hilton Head Island.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing individual and small-group counseling services to students
- Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations
- Carrying out Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)
- Assisting in the creation and monitoring of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Supporting the district’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
- Consulting and collaborating with teachers and families to promote student well-being
- Participating actively in IEP and Section 504 meetings
- Contributing to crisis response and safety planning initiatives
- Developing transition plans for students returning to their home schools after interventions
The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong foundation in behavioral and counseling practices within a school setting and is passionate about trauma-informed and early intervention strategies. Familiarity with psychoeducational assessment, behavioral planning, and supporting students with intensive needs is crucial. The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicate well with staff and families is essential.
This is a full-time opportunity, averaging 37.5 hours per week, offered on a contract basis.
