Your expertise will be central to supporting the Promising Students Program (PSP), which focuses on early intervention, reducing disciplinary removals, and fostering academic and emotional growth for students with significant needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Background in behavioral counseling and trauma-informed care
- Experience conducting psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations
- Skilled in Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Knowledge of Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and families
- Experience in IEP and Section 504 processes
- Strong crisis response and prevention abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one and group counseling tailored to social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Perform comprehensive psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations
- Complete FBAs and assist in developing/monitoring individualized BIPs
- Support the implementation of MTSS and data-informed interventions
- Consult regularly with teachers and family members to ensure cohesive support
- Contribute actively to IEP and Section 504 meetings
- Respond to crises and participate in safety planning for at-risk students
- Design collaborative transition plans to help students reintegrate successfully into their home schools
